Leslie Miller is the Tribal Liaison for the #nativeSBA team, and she ensures that, after business owners have attended an Empowerment Workshop, they can take home what they’ve learned and connect effectively to business development resources and partners in their own communities. Leslie provides the technical assistance that helps business owners connect to the network of SBA offices and resources for ongoing support in their business endeavors.
Leslie has extensive experience as an educator, an advisor to business owners, and as a small business owner herself. Prior to #nativeSBA, she managed the Eastern Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), providing free counseling and services for small business owners on how to grow their businesses through government contracting. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching adults, working as an instructor at Gonzaga University, Whitworth University, Webster University, and Spokane Community College and teaching topics like business computing, computerized accounting applications, innovation and technology management, procurement and contract management for information technology, database management, and information systems applications. She has also owned her own consulting business, providing accounting, education, and technology services.
Leslie has a master of arts in computer education and a bachelor’s degree in business management, with an emphasis in accounting and computer information systems. She is a lifelong resident of the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area.
